Arlington Heights Commission Works on Bike-Friendly Initiatives

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission is working on an ordinance that would require at least one bike parking space at every building area in the village, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Arlington Heights is on the path to becoming a more bike-friendly community. 

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission is working on an ordinance that would require at least one bike parking space at every building area in Arlington Heights, including schools, businesses, multi-family residences and commercial areas, according to the Chicago Tribune. 

The commission is also working on a "Complete Streets" ordinance that is meant to solidify the village's intentions of being a bike-friendly community and creating streets that are also safe for bicyclists and pedestrians, according to the Tribune.
