In addition to the upbeat environment, Favia has an impressive educational, as well as teaching background.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from New Mexico State University, he attended the Loyola University School of Dentistry where he graduated from in 1993.
He has received a total of 500 hours of continuing education, including seminars and instruction at the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute for Dental Education and Peter Dawson’s Center for Advanced Dental Studies.
Since 2007, he also has taught surgical procedures, including dental implants and bone augmentation for Henry Schein, the largest dental supply company in the world.
Favia describes his practice as a one-stop for family members ages three and up, with an emphasis on family.
“While parents are being treated, our assistants will watch the kids to make it easier for parents who have young children,” Favia said.
And the practice really is a one-stop.
“We do every aspect of dentistry. For dental implants, I do the surgery right here, including bone grafting, sinus lifts and bone augmentation, we also do non-surgical gum treatments,” Favia said.
Cosmetic dentistry, including white filings, veneers and crowns also are a specialty.
And convencience for Favia Family Dental patients is a priority.
“We provide a single visit crown, using CAD technology, we design the crown on the computer. You only get numb once, and instead of a 2-3 week process, it’s all done in one day,” Favia said.
Invisalign braces, dentures, full-mouth reconstruction and cosmetic contouring of the gums are provided by Favia and his team as well.
Non-metal dentures, which are more affordable and more comfortable also have also grown in popularity among his patients, Favia said.
Favia also prides himself on the fact that he invests in the latest technology to provide the most superior treatment.
“In addition to using Digital X-rays, which have 90 percent less radiation, I also use a cone beam 3D dental cat scan, which allows me to see the bone, so there is no guesswork in any of the procedures we provide,” Favia sad.
And as many businesses today have broadened the services they offer, Favia Family Dental also provides cosmetic botox and collagen lip re-contouring to improve the smile.
The business has expanded over the years, which prompted the need for a larger location.
In late spring, Favia Family Dental will be moving to 300 E. Northwest Highway.
“Our new office will be much bigger, and will provide a kids play room and work area for adults and kids. We will continue to have Wi-Fi and satellite television to make the experience even better,” Favia said.
“I like to invest in the best for every one of my patients,” Favia said.
