Arlington Heights Parks Approve 2.5% Tax Levy Increase

Arlington Heights Park District board members okay 2.51 percent tax levy hike, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The Arlington Heights Park District is looking to get a 2.51 percent increase in the amount of money it will get from property taxpayers, the Chicago Tribune reports.

A 2.51 percent tax levy hike would mean, the Tribune reports, the average Arlington Heights homeowner would pay $498 in taxes to the parks district, that’s on a $300,000 house.

The board approved the increase at the Nov. 27 meeting, three weeks after voters rejected the district's $39 million referendum.
