Arlington Heights Qdoba Restaurant Safe from Mass Closings

Qdoba closes the doors on 18 Chicagoland locations Friday.

Qdoba Mexican Grill will close 18 of its corporate-owned Chicagoland locations at 3 p.m. Friday, reports chicagogrid.com.

Not to worry burrito fans, restaurants in Arlington Heights and Vernon Hills, which are franchise locations, will remain open, according to Qdoba's Facebook page. All of the closings are listed on the Facebook page and include restaurants in Chicago, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn and Wheaton.

Qdoba's parent company, Jack in the Box, stated the decision to close 67 company-owned restaurants was to refocus on markets with high levels of brand awareness, according to chicagogrid.com.
