I believe in community service and enjoy helping people and the community. I have been working with residents and businesses for over 25 years on a village level. I feel that I add value to the community through my role as a trustee. My financial background as a CPA and financial advisor has aided greatly in adding insight to the village budget process and other financial issues. I sincerely care about what I do. I spend a lot of time being active in the community, attending events.
What are the top 2-3 issues facing the village of Arlington Heights, and how do you plan on addressing them?
1. Economic-dealing with the pension shortfalls, maintain village budget goals of balancing revenues and expenses. Work with the state to change the pension rules and reduce the future costs.
2. Business retention and development-continue to promote the village to new businesses and help retain the existing ones via the Economic Alliance & Chamber of Commerce. 3. Village services-Maintain a high level of services, fire, police & public works as well as senior center.
What improvements, if any, would you like to see in the way that the village of Arlington Heights is run?
The village runs very well as it is. There is always room to improve the processes we do, from permits to new business and developer applications. We are continually improving these. I would like to see residents have access to all services village wide and be aware of those services. This has improved through the internet and village web site.

Additional comments, any other relevant information to your candidacy you would like voters to know about you.
I am very active in the community and attend numerous village activities and functions, active in the AH Chamber of Commerce. I was the only trustee to ever win the AH Chamber of Commerce Presidents Award in 2008-in appreciation and recognition of the dedicated leadership and commitment to the AH business community.
I believe that I care about the community and would appreciate the opportunity to serve again.
