Armed Bank Robbery Suspect Handed Over To FBI: Hoffman Estates PD

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL — An armed robbery suspect was arrested Wednesday following an incident at a Huntington Bank location in the 1400 block of Palatine Road. Hoffman Estates police, who did not release the male suspect's identity, said he was transferred over to the custody of the FBI following the arrest as he is facing federal charges.

According to police, callers told authorities a male was displaying a gun and demanding money from bank employees at around 9:15 a.m.

Responding officers from the Hoffman Estates and Inverness police departments quickly found the suspect upon arrival at the bank and were able to safely take him into custody without further incident. Police said no injuries were reported.
