Bicyclist Dies After Being Struck By Car In Rolling Meadows: Police
The crash occurred Tuesday night at Rohlwing Road and Campbell Street, according to police.
ROLLING MEADOWS, IL — A 41-year-old Rolling Meadows man was killed Tuesday night after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle. Police said the driver of the vehicle involved is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
Police released the name of the deceased, Patrick J. Houlihan, on Wednesday morning.
Police said they responded to the area of Rohlwing Road and Campbell Street at around 9:27 p.m. Initial reports given to police indicated the driver of the car may have left the scene of the crash, but the car returned a short time later.

Police found the bicyclist down in the roadway, but conscious. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, but was later pronounced dead.
The crash is currently being investigated by the Rolling Meadows Police Department with assistance from the Major Case Assistance Team's Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team. The identity of the bicyclist is being withheld until family members are notified.
