Biggby Coffee Closing its Doors Early Next Week, but Daily Grind and Grill is Coming Soon
Biggby's last day of business will be Monday, April 29, but a new business, the Daily Grind and Grill, will be opening in mid-May at 5 W. Campbell Street, the site of the former Campbell Street Hot Dogs.

Biggby Coffee, 21 S. Dunton Avenue will be closing its doors after the business day ends on Monday, April 29, but have no fear - a new business that will include 5-star coffee and a whole lot more - will take its place in a location less than a block away by the middle of May.
Bob "Reo" Reotutar who currently manages Biggby, along with business partner Keith Kottke, will be opening the Daily Grind and Grill in the former Campbell Street Hot Dogs location, at 5 W. Campbell Street. Kottke owns the building, and closed the fast food restaurant in February when plans to open a new place with Reotutar began to form.
In addition to the highest qualilty coffee available, Reotutar said items on the Biggby menu such as the danish, doughnuts, bagels and muffins that current customers love, will still be offered at the new location.

Additional menu options will include burgers, hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches, along with frozen fruit smoothies, and ice cream scoops and shakes featuring Ashby's ice cream, Kottke said.
Each of the new menu items at Daily Grind and Grill will be named after Arlington Heights schools, giving a nod to the local emphasis behind the new business, Kottke said.

Both Kottke and Reotutar grew up in Arlington Heights and attended local high schools; Kottke graduated from Rolling Meadows and Reotutar from St. Viator.
"We want to create a place for local residents to gather and enjoy themselves while supporting our local community," Reotutar said.
Booth seating will be in the front of the new location, and a lounge area will be situated in the back, to promote the Daily Grind and Grill as a place to spend time, whether it be moms with young children visiting, business meetings, a quick coffee or a sandwich, or a place where friends can meet up to chat.
The exact opening date has not yet been finalized, as Kottke and Reotutar put the final touches on their new business endeavor.
