Car Left Running Stolen Outside Repair Shop: Blotter
A customer at an automobile tune-up shop left their unattended car running and it was stolen while inside: Arlington Heights Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

- Kevin J. Cress, 26, of the 600 block of E Prospect Avenue, Mount Prospect, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, (2) counts of driving on a suspended/revoked license, operating an uninsured vehicle, and was arrested at 3:32 a.m. Jan. 22 at Rand and Arlington Heights roads. He was taken to court and assigned a court date of Feb. 23.
- Luke W. Knauber, 34, of the 100 block of E White Oak Street, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 10:47 p.m. Jan. 23 in the 100 block of E White Oak Street. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Feb. 24.
- Kendall White, 28, of the 1200 block of S 1st Avenue, Hines, is accused of having aggravated Illinois Vehicle Code felonies, aggravated driving under the influence, no driver's license/permit and was arrested at 9:45 p.m. Jan. 24 at Buffalo Grove and Stanford roads. White was taken to court and assigned a court date of Feb. 19.
DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE
Lesli V. Lima, 29, of the 0-100 block of W Algonquin, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving with a suspended/revoked license, and was arrested at 10:15 a.m. Jan. 26 in the 700 block of W Algonquin. She was released on bond and assigned a court date of Feb. 17.

INCIDENTS
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
A citizen reported at that their vehicle was stolen between 5:47-6:02 p.m. Jan. 29 in the parking lot of E&M Auto Doctors, 1604 W Northwest Highway. The citizen had left the vehicle running and unattended while inside the business. The vehicle was later recovered in an apartment complex parking lot and was returned, undamaged to the citizen.
RETAIL THEFT
- A shopper called police to report that between 6:15-6:30 p.m. Jan. 30 someone took grocery bags filled with groceries purchased by the person from their shopping cart after the cart was left unattended at Jewel-Osco, 122 N Vail Avenue. The approximate value of the stolen groceries is $25.
- An employee at Walgreens, 1000 E Northwest Highway, reported that between 1:34-1:38 p.m. Jan. 28 a man was seen concealing merchandise on his person before leaving the store without paying for it. The male is further described as white, approximately 5-foot, 7 inches, 150 pounds and approximately 31 years old. He was wearing a facemask, a dark-colored baseball cap, gray coat and sweatpants. He was last seen leaving the area in a Nissan SUV with no front license plate. The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is approximately $70.
THEFT
A resident reported that between 2-3 p.m. Jan. 25 someone took several of their packages from the communal area at an apartment complex in the 900 block of W Rand Road. The value of the package’s contents is approximately $280.
