ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Johan R. Reyes, 31, of the 4900 block of N Harlem Avenue, Harwood Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 1:53 a.m. Jan. 7 on Arlington Heights Road. He was release on bond and assigned a court date of Feb. 8.
  • Stivens Nune, 24, of the 0-100 block of N David Drive, Palatine, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, and was arrested at 7:49 p.m. Jan. 7 in the 800 block of S Plum Grove Road. Nune was released on bond and assigned a court date of Feb. 17.

AGGRAVATED FLEEING OR ELUDING AN OFFICER

Lynn L. Brown, 34, of the 1700 block of W Juneway Terrace, Chicago, is accused of aggravated fleeing or eluding an officer, driving on a suspended/revoked license, fleeing police, two counts of leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage, and was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Jan. 8 in the 5700 block of W Madison Street. Brown was taken to court and assigned a court date of Jan. 27.

DRIVING ON A REVOKED/SUSPENDED LICENSE

  • Eneida Gutierrez-Ramirez, 34, of the 2200 block of S Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving on a revoked/suspended license, and was arrested at 7:39 p.m. Jan. 8 in the 1600 block of W Northwest Highway. Gutierrez-Ramirez was released on bond and assigned a court date of Feb. 17.
  • Juan J. Trujillo, 42, of the 1200 block of Itasca Street, Bensenville, is accused of driving on a revoked/suspended license, and was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Jan. 11 in the 2200 block of S Arlington Heights Road. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Feb. 17.
  • Anthony J. Capra, 34, of the 1600 block of Hadley Court, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a revoked/suspended license, and was arrested at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 11 in the 1600 block of N Arlington Heights Road. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Feb. 17.

RETAIL THEFT

David Cano-Vasquez, 33, of the 7500 block of N Elmhurst Road, Des Plaines, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 12:17 p.m. Jan. 9 in the 900 block of W Algonquin Road. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Feb. 9.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY TO A PEACE OFFICER

Michael S. Esau, 34, of Burlington, Wisconsin, is accused of aggravated battery to a peace officer, possession of a controlled substance, resisting/obstructing an officer, obstructing identification, possessing drug paraphernalia, driving with license revoked/suspended, and was arrested at 9:52 p.m. Jan. 9 in the 0-100 block of W Algonquin Road. He was taken to court and assigned a court date of Jan. 26.

VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Timothy J. Marszalek, 29, of the 200 block of Rohlwing Road, Palatine, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested Jan. 11 at 10:02 p.m. in Arlington Heights. He was taken to court and assigned a court date of Feb. 2.

FORGERY/POSSESS WITH INTENT

Kurshawne D. Griffin, 35, of the 5600 block of W Lake Street, Chicago, is accused of forgery/possession with intent, and was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 12 in the 1700 block of S State Street. Griffin was taken to court and assigned a court date of Feb. 5.

INCIDENTS

THEFT

A resident in the 100 block of N Prindle Avenue reported that someone took a package from the front porch after the package had been delivered between Jan. 7-12. The value of the package’s contents is approximately $200.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

An employee of a Napleton Dodge, 1410 W Dundee Road, called police to report between Jan. 6-11 someone damaged several vehicles in the business parking lot by using an unknown object to damage the front passenger side fender, wheel well, and tire of all vehicles involved. The cost to repair the damage is unknown.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

  • An employee of Napleton Dodge, 1410 W Dundee Road, reported someone removed the catalytic converter from a vehicle between Jan. 6-11 while the vehicle was parked overnight in the apartment complex parking lot. The cost to replace the part is approximately $540.
  • A resident of the 2400 block of E Oakton Street called police to report someone removed the catalytic converters from three separate transport vans while the vehicles were parked in the business parking lot between 7 p.m. Jan. 11 and 5 p.m. Jan. 12. The cost to replace the parts is approximately $540 each.
  • A resident of 1100 W Hawthorne Street reported that someone entered their unlocked vehicle while it was parked overnight between Dec. 20-25 in the apartment complex parking lot. Taken from the vehicle was a bag containing camera equipment valued at approximately $2,760.
  • A resident in the 2400 block of S Goebbert Road called police to report someone entered their unlocked vehicle while it was parked overnight Jan. 11 in the apartment complex parking lot. Taken from the vehicle was an envelope containing $3 and several identification cards.
