A witness reported seeing two people shatter the glass window of the car before stealing it.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Bong K. Kim, 53, of the 2600 block of Showplace Drive, Naperville, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 10:45 p.m. Dec. 18, in the 200 block of E. Sigwalt Street. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 10, 2025.

HARASSMENT THROUGH ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

Christopher Magiet, 36, of the 300 block of S. Wilke, Arlington Heights, is accused of harassment through electronic communications, and was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 13, in the 300 block of S. Wilke. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 27, 2025.

RETAIL THEFT

Vann C. Osei, of the 1500 block of W. Vine Street, Arlington Heights, is accused of retail theft, criminal trespass to property, and was arrested at 4:18 p.m. Dec. 14, in the 1500 block of W. Wine Street. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 14, 2025.

INCIDENTS

STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE

  • A citizen called police at 7:40 a.m. Dec. 12, to report their black Toyota had been stolen from a parking lot in the 2100 block of S. Tonne Drive.
  • A citizen at a Ford dealership in the 800 block of W. Dundee Road reported seeing two people shatter a window on a car at 1:03 a.m. Dec. 14, and then steal the car, a 2017 blue Chevrolet Camaro.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident of the 1700 block of N. Windsor Drive, called police at 1:30 p.m. Dec 12, to report someone had entered her unlocked residence and stole her cellular phone.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A citizen reported someone had shattered the sunroof on her white Lexus, and subsequently stole personal property, between Dec. 13 and Dec. 15 in the 2200 block of S. Goebbert Road.
