Car Struck By Metra Train In Arlington Heights: Police

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A car was struck by a commuter Metra train Thursday night, sending a person to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. The accident happened at around 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Northwest Highway.

First responders from both the police and fire departments were dispatched to the crash.

Police said the rail grade crossing at Arlington Heights Road and Northwest Highway has been reopened.
