Chicago Man Charged With Animal Cruelty: Arlington Heights PD Blotter
The 28-year-old was arrested in the 1800 block of S. Arlington Heights Road.

- Fidel Benitez, 29, of the 2100 block of S. Tonne, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, and was arrested at 9:32 p.m. Dec. 28, in the 400 block of W. Rand. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 10.
- Gerard K. Nowak, 50, of the 1600 block of N. Courtland Drive, Arlington Heights, is accused of DUI alcohol, failure to remain at the scene of a vehicle damage accident, and was arrested at 7:59 p.m. Dec. 29, in the 1600 block of N. Courtland Drive, Arlington Heights. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 3.
- Clifford B. Stokes, 39, of the 3200 block of Holiday Drive, Arlington Heights, is accused of aggravated DUI, driving on a revoked license, possession of cannabis, resisting a peace officer, DUI alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, fleeing a peace officer, and was arrested at 10:12 p.m. Jan. 2, in the 2400 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. A court date of Jan. 10 was assigned.
- Tengis Tulga, 24, of the 2600 block of Jasmine Lane, Rolling Meadows, is accused of DUI alcohol, DUI alcohol with a BAC of .08 or more, and was arrested at 10:58 a.m. Jan. 1, in the 900 block of E. Golf Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 27.
CRUELTY TO ANIMALS
Tyron D. Davis, 28, of the 4000 block of N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, is accused of cruelty to animals, and was arrested at 8:10 a.m. Dec. 29, in the 1800 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 14.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Zachary T. Garrett, of the 500 block of Woodlawn Street, Hoffman Estates, is accused of possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, and was arrested at 1:37 a.m. Jan. 1, in the 20 block of W. Algonquin Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 7.
FORGERY
Dwayne Lindsey, 26, of the 3500 block of W. Flournoy Street, Chicago, is accused of forgery, and was arrested at 8 p.m. Dec. 29, at the Elgin Police Department. A court date of Jan. 7 was assigned.

INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
An employee at Ulta, 13 W. Rand Road, reported at 8:32 p.m. Dec. 23, two women and a juvenile stole approximately $1,000 worth of product. The women were described as in their 20s, while the juvenile was around 15.
STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE
A resident in the 600 block of E. Mayfair Road reported at 3:04 a.m. Dec. 25, someone had stolen his sliver Acura from the driveway.
BURGLARY
Police responded to an activated alarm at B&P Smoke & Spirits, 2316 E. Rand Road, at 1 a.m. Dec. 26, and found the front window shattered. A review of video surveillance showed two people break the window, enter the business and steal approximately $2,600 worth of alcohol and $500 cash from the register. The pair arrived and left in a dark-colored Infiniti.
