Spring 2022 Graduates Announced At University Of Alabama

The University of Alabama awarded 5,907 degrees during its spring commencement ceremonies on May 6-8. Local students include:

• Kenneth Doyle, of Arlington Heights, has received the following degree from The University of Alabama: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Megan Murphy, of Arlington Heights, has received the following degree from The University of Alabama: Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Information Sciences.
• Alexis Opperman, of Arlington Heights, has received the following degree from The University of Alabama: Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering.
• Michael Sauer, of Arlington Heights, has received the following degree from The University of Alabama: Bachelor of Music.

Local Students Graduate from Elmhurst University

In an atmosphere that was festive despite gray skies and some afternoon rain, Elmhurst University held its 151st Commencement for the Class of 2022. On Saturday, May 21, nearly 850 undergraduate and graduate students took part in the three ceremonies held throughout the day, out of more than 1,000 Elmhurst students who earned degrees. The following local students earned degrees:

• Alexander Smith, of Arlington Heights, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Theory Composition.
• Isabella Nancy Bucaro, of Arlington Heights, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Briana Vega, of Arlington Heights, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Educating Young Children.
• Patrycia Tomaszkiewicz, of Arlington Heights, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
• Michael Thomas Lyskawka, of Arlington Heights, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Psychology.
• Luke N. Cecala, of Arlington Heights, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics.

MSOE Dean's List - Spring Quarter 2022

Milwaukee School of Engineering congratulates students named to the Spring Quarter 2022 Dean's List. Local students include:

• Daniel Greenfield, of Arlington Heights, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and M.S. Civil Engineering
• Beth Mical, of Arlington Heights, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and M.S. Civil Engineering

Undergraduate students who have earned at least 30 credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0) are on the Dean's List. Students who have maintained a 3.70 or higher receive "high honors."

Anthony Luczak named to MSOE Honors List for Spring Quarter 2022

Anthony Luczak, from Arlington Heights, was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Honors List for the 2022 Spring Quarter. Luczak is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. Undergraduate students who have earned a GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0) for this quarter are on the Honors List.

Arlington Heights Native Recognized On SRU's Spring 2022 Dean's List

Jenna Simpson, of Arlington Heights, has made the dean's list at Slippery Rock University for the spring 2022 semester. The dean's list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.

Taylor Receives BA Degree In Psychology

Jessica R. Taylor, of Arlington Heights, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, with a minor in social work from the University of Dayton. Taylor is among the 1,655 graduating seniors from UD which celebrated its 172nd Commencement on May 8 at the University of Dayton Arena. Graduating from Saint Viator High School in 2018, Taylor was also named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2022 Semester. Taylor will be continuing her education this fall at Dominican University, River Forest to complete her master’s in social work.
