Wachtel Named To University of Kentucky Spring 2023 Dean's List

Carter Wachtel, of Arlington Heights, was named to the Spring 2023 University of Kentucky College of Arts & Sciences Dean's List. This accomplishment is a sign of Carter's hard work and commitment to learning. More than 1,820 undergraduate students have qualified for the Spring College of Arts & Sciences Dean's List. Students on the Dean's List earned 12 or more credit hours as letter grades with a minimum 3.60 GPA for the semester.

Augustana College Announces 2023 Commencement Participants

Augustana College recognized 624 participants at the college's 163rd commencement ceremony Saturday, May 27. CNN Hero Nelly Cheboi '16 delivered the commencement address. The Class of 2023 is the most diverse class in Augustana's 163-year history, with graduates hailing from 20 countries including the United States and 24 U.S. states. Those recognized from Arlington Heights included:

  • Jack Blumenfeld studied Business Administration - Finance and Business Administration - Management.
  • Lauren Clarke studied Creative Writing, Multimedia Journalism Mass Communication and Theatre History.
  • Colin Claytor studied Music Education Vocal.
  • Matthew Hanushewsky studied Business Administration - Finance and Accounting.
  • Jacob Irwin studied Communication Science & Disorders.
  • Joseph Marcucci studied Political Science and Economics.
  • Natalia Matlag studied Creative Writing and English.
  • Sara Niemiec studied Elementary Education.
  • Sofia Ramirez-Bertolasi studied Sociology, Anthropology and Social Welfare.
  • Thomas Schmidt studied Economics and Business Administration - Finance.

Petrusek Makes Dean's List At Roosevelt University

Serafina M. Petrusek, of Arlington Heights, was recently named to the dean's list for the spring 2023 semester at Roosevelt University's Heller College of Business Administration. She is a sophomore.
