Local student graduates from University of Tampa

The University of Tampa virtually hosted its 150th commencement on May 9 to honor 1,752 degree-seeking candidates.

Edward Metzger, of Arlington Heights, graduated Honors with a Master of Science in Finance.

Schnittker graduates from McKendree University

Zachary Schnittker, of Arlington Heights, graduated with a BBA degree in economics and finance. The university is conferring 733 degrees at its Illinois and Kentucky campuses in 2020 — six associate, 508 baccalaureate, 198 masters and 21 doctoral degrees — on students who completed their degree requirements in December 2019 and in May and July 2020.

Slaski inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi

Claire Slaski, of Arlington Heights, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Slaski was initiated at Carroll University.

Slaski is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year.

Schill graduates from Iowa State University

Adam Schill, from Arlington Heights, graduated with a bachelor of science degree from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Majoring in Agricultural Business, Schill was joined by a network of 46,000 CALS alumni sharing their talents and making a difference around the world in a May 8 virtual graduation ceremony.

Hand graduates from Cedarville University

Ethan Hand, of Arlington Heights, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies during the 124th annual commencement held May 2.
