Doner Receives Honor From Monmouth College
Joe Doner, of Arlington Heights, is one of the most accomplished and involved students in Monmouth College’s Class of 2021. Recently, he was named the College’s Student Laureate of The Lincoln Academy of Illinois. Every fall, an outstanding senior from each of the four-year degree-granting institutions of higher learning in Illinois is awarded the Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award and thereby becomes a Lincoln Laureate. Honored for their overall excellence in curricular and co-curricular activities, Monmouth recipients typically speak at their Commencement ceremony the following spring. A double major in international studies and French, Doner is also minoring in environmental studies and political science. Read more here.

Local Students Begin Freshman Year At University of Kentucky
The University of Kentucky's College of Arts & Sciences welcomes 1,593 members of its incoming freshman class for Fall 2020. Among the new students are:- Kelly Boyle, of Arlington Heights. Kelly's academic major is psychology.
- Maggie Balmes, of Arlington Heights. Maggie's academic major is undeclared/exploratory studies in AS.
