Residents make dean's list at Knox College

High-achieving students were named to the dean's list for the 2020 winter term. To be named to the dean's list, a student must have earned at least 2.5 credits in the term, with a grade point average of 3.6 or better (on a 4.0 scale).
Area students who were honored were:
- Mia Kobayashi-Solomon, of Arlington Heights. Kobayashi-Solomon's major is Undecided at Knox.
- Nicholas Janulis, of Arlington Heights. Janulis's major is history.

Trettenbach named to dean's list at Rochester Institute of Technology
Vivian Trettenbach, of Arlington Heights, was named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2020 Spring Semester. Trettenbach is in the fine arts studio program.
Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete," "D," or "F" and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Area students make dean's list at Lewis University
Just under 1,700 students were honored on the Lewis University Dean's List for the 2020 Spring Semester. To be eligible for this honor, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours during the semester with a grade point average of at least 3.5 and with no "D" or "F" grades.

Rivera participates in University of Findlay's symposium for scholarship and creativity
Sabrina Rivera, of Arlington Heights, recently participated in the University of Findlay's annual Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity. Rivera presented "Pursuing Cultural Humility."
Undergraduate and graduate students were given the opportunity to virtually share their research, creativity, and professional learning experiences with the University and community, with many students receiving honors at the same time.

Miami University students who are ranked in the top three percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2019-20 have been named to the president's list recognizing academic excellence.

Taylor named to dean's list at University of Dayton
Jessica R. Taylor, of Arlington Heights, was named to the Dean's List for the spring semester. Taylor is a 2018 graduate of Saint Viator High School and will be a junior at Dayton in August. Her major is psychology.

Clemson University has announced the spring 2020 President's List. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all As) grade-point average.

Area residents make dean's list at Monmouth College
Joe Doner and Jordyn Gosell, both of Arlington Heights, made the dean's list for the spring 2020 semsester. Doner has made the list all six of his semesters.

Cruz named to dean's list at University of Rhode Island
The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the Spring 2020 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, and many other states and countries.
To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Ringstrand makes dean's list at Cedarville University
Jake Ringstrand, of Arlington Heights, majoring in Christian Education, was named to the dean's honor list for spring 2020. The recognition required Ringstrand to maintain a 3.75 GPA and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Ethan Hand, of Arlington Heights, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2020 semester. The recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.5 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours
