D-214 Students Raise $82K for American Cancer Society
Hundreds of student, staff and community members turned out for the event.

The 2012 Township High School District 214 Relay for Life event raised more than $82,000 for the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.
Hundreds of district students, staff and community members turned out for the 12-hour relay May 18-19.
Highlights included inspirational speeches by cancer survivors Haley Helstrom and Jay Kyp-Johnso and the Luminaria and Fight Back ceremonies.

"A huge thanks goes out to everyone who helped organize and participate in the event," said David Jacobson, the Prospect High School service learning coordinator. "It was truly a memorable experience."
