
Kenzie Woodland, a fourth-grade student at Dryden Elementary school, sounded off on the benefits of the Odyssey program, which District 25 has decided to eliminate in 2013-14, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The 225 second through fifth grade students in the district's Odyssey program were pulled into separate groups once or twice a week to work on critical and creative thinking, problem-solving and research skills, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Instead, the district will offer Problem-Solving Innovation, or PSI, hour, which will be offered to all students and grouped by interest, according to the article.
