District 214 School Board Announcing New Superintendent At Meeting

The new superintendent will have an official start date of July 1, according to the district.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Following a five-month nationwide search, Township High School District 214 is ready to announce its next superintendent. The announcement is scheduled for the next meeting of the school board on Thursday, which starts at 7 p.m. at Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights.

After 18 years at the helm, former superintendent Dr. David Schuler left in February to serve as the executive director of the American Association of School Administrators. In January, the school board appointed Dr. Kenneth Arndt and Dr. Lazaro Lopez as co-interim superintendents to lead the District during the transition. They will continue serving in that role through June 30, with the new superintendent starting officially on July 1.
