District 25 Dismisses Teachers, Approves Funds for Staff Increases
In the past 10 years that the district has been dismissing staff, all employees have been offered their jobs back the following school year, according to the Chicago Tribune.

District 25 has dismissed 11 full-time, non-tenured teachers; six part-time teachers; and 18 teaching assistants though all could be called back to work next year "in a common recall process known as 'reduction in force,'" according to the Chicago Tribune.
Last month, the school board approved $506,000 to pay for more teachers meaning the district will see an increase in staffers next year, according to the Tribune article. The Chicago Tribune has more on this story.
