ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Amy D. Huska, of Arlington Heights, is accused of striking her car into the door of another vehicle and running over the legs of the driver, before fleeing the scene of a May 15 incident in Buffalo Grove. Eyewitness accounts detailed the events that eventually led to Huska's arrest by the Buffalo Grove Police Department.

Police responded to the Shell gas station, 50 W Cook Road in Buffalo Grove, at around 4:41 p.m. on a report of a traffic collision, police said. An eyewitness said a car, later determined to be driven by Huska, 63, had struck the door of a second vehicle twice while the occupant of the latter was out taking photos of possible damage to the rear-end of their car. Several other eyewitnesses also told police that Huska drove her car into the legs of the other driver, reversed several feet and then drove over the other person's legs a second time. Huska then fled the scene before being stopped by police at Lake Cook and McHenry roads. She would later be arrested at the Buffalo Grove Police Station.

The other driver told police she was uninjured and declined an ambulance, police said.
