Drunken Driver Resists Arrest: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

The 21-year-old Stone Park man was also charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Carlos A. Bejarano-Moreno, 56, of the 700 block of Grove Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 1:20 a.m. Aug. 31, at Arlington Heights Road and Hawthorne Street. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 2.
  • Kevin Charles Weiss, 31, of the 10 block of Parkway North, Deerfield, is accused of DUI alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 2:57 a.m. Aug. 30, at Northwest Highway and Evergreen. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 2.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Julie Louise Dunne, homeless, is accused of two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested at 9:06 p.m. Sept. 3, at Golf Road and Grove Drive, Mount Prospect. She was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 8.

RETAIL THEFT

Glenn Johnson, 52, of the 600 block of Glenwood Avenue, Elgin, is accused of retail theft, had two warrants for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 10:22 p.m. Sept. 1, in the 100 block of Douglas Avenue, Elgin. A court date of Oct. 22 was assigned.

RESIST PEACE OFFICER

Eduardo Salvador Perez, 21, of the 1800 block of N. 37th Avenue, Stone Park, is accused of resisting a peace officer, DUI alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, illegal transportation of alcohol, and was arrested at 3:34 a.m. Aug. 31, at N. Arlington Heights Road and E. Euclid Avenue. He was released and given a court date of Sept. 18.

BATTERY

Jonathan D. Townsend, 26, of the 2600 block of W. 23rd Street, Chicago, is accused of aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting police, battery, and was arrested at 3:19 p.m. Sept. 4, in the 500 block of N. Dunton Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 9.

INCIDENTS

THEFT

  • A citizen reported that during the overnight hours of Aug. 28, someone had stolen her Mongoose mountain bike and Nishiki mountain bike from the bike racks in the 300 block of N. Salem Avenue.
  • A resident in the 200 block of E. Seegers Road reported that between 11:10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Aug. 31, someone had stolen two Walmart packages from the apartment lobby.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A citizen reported that at 10:25 p.m. Aug. 30, someone had used fireworks to damage a port-o-potty at Volz Park, 1001 W. St. James Street. The person was last seen leaving in a silver pickup truck.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident in the 300 block of N. Patton Avenue reported that between Aug. 23 and Sept. 1, someone had forcibly entered her residence and stole personal property.
