‘Golf Fore Youth’ and Support The Bridge at Inverness Golf Club
The annual fundraiser takes place Monday, August 5 and includes a day of golf, food and drinks, games and contests - and an elegant dinner.
Enjoy a day full of leisure, contests, food and fun at Inverness Golf Club for the ‘Golf Fore Youth’ Bridge Youth and Family Services (The Bridge) annual golf outing fundraiser. The outing will take place Monday, August 5, 2019; registration opens at 10:00 a.m. and golf begins at 11:45 a.m.
“We invite all community members to join us; this outing is one of two major fundraisers each year that help us to ensure we can provide the many services we offer to our clients,” said Executive Director Gregg Stockey. “Regardless of their ability to pay, The Bridge works every day to help clients achieve social and emotional health, to become happier and more productive community members.”
The outing includes a lunch buffet, 18 holes of golf, on-course beverages, tee gifts and prizes. The dinner portion of the evening will feature live and silent auctions, including one-of-a-kind Sonoma County vineyard tours, a foursome at the nostalgic Kemper Lakes and Royal Melbourne County Club champion golf courses, as well as other exciting ‘experience’ packages.

Funds raised enable The Bridge to continue to provide youth counseling and crisis intervention services, as well as prevention programs such as youth mentoring, the Youth Council initiative, and community education to support youth and families.
The Bridge serves children up to the age of 17 (or 18 if the youth is still in high school), and their families in Palatine and the surrounding suburbs. The 54-year nonprofit is contracted by the State of Illinois to provide crisis intervention services to individuals living in the following townships: Palatine, Barrington, Hanover, Schaumburg, Elk Grove and Maine Townships.

The overwhelming majority of youth served by The Bridge have experienced trauma due to domestic violence, substance abuse, or losing a parent to death, incarceration or other life challenges. Because services are provided despite the client’s ability to pay, fundraising efforts such as the annual golf outing and the gala each April are vitally important to organization’s survival.
Please visit BridgeYouth.org for additional information and to register for the golf outing.
