Hersey Orchesis Presents Its Annual Concert, "Captivate"

John Hersey High School's Orchesis will present its main concert of the year, "Captivate," Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 21-23, in the school theater.

John Hersey High School's Orchesis, under the direction of Jennifer Foss, will present its main concert of the year, "Captivate," Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 21-23, in the school theater at 7:30 p.m., with an additional 2 p.m. Saturday matinee. Tickets are $6 for students and seniors and $7 for adults.     

Last August, Hersey Orchesis was privileged to work with Lindsey LaFountain, a Gus Giordano dancer.  Hersey dancers spent numerous hours working on Giordano Jazz technique, as well as learning a work featured in the upcoming concert.    

This piece was also presented in the Gus Giordano Dance Project on Feb. 2, which included performers from many local high schools as well as local studios.  Hersey dancers who performed there included the following:
