Holiday Guide: A Bright Tradition Kicks Off Season

More than 70,000 tiny lights will set the Village aglow for this holiday tradition.

The annual Village of Arlington Heights Holiday Display and Tree Lighting Ceremony will kick off the season the day after Thanksgiving.

Since December 1991, North School Park, Eastman Street at Arlington Heights Road, has celebrated the holidays aglow in lights. The annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held November 23 at about 4:30 p.m.

The Village begins work a week ahead of time in assembling the display, which will include more than 70,000 miniature lights. A decorated evergreen will be placed on the Park's fountain.
