Home Loans for Improvements Available from Village

The village has a loan program to help people with home repairs.

Applications are being accepted for the Village of Arlington Heights’ Single Family Rehabilitation Loan Program, a news release from the village says. Through the program, eligible low and moderate income homeowners may qualify for 0% interest deferred loans to make home repairs.

Eligible home repairs are those needed to bring the home into compliance with Village Code and may include items such as new roofs, electrical and plumbing work, window replacement, energy efficiency improvements, and modifications to improve handicapped accessibility.  Decorative remodeling, landscaping including tree removal, and room additions are not eligible.
