Residents' Input on Capital Improvement Program Due Aug. 17

A quick online survey has been provided for residents to show their interest in specific projects involving streets, storm water facilities, traffic signals, street lighting and other improvement projects.

As the village of Arlington Heights works on its five-year capital imrpovement plan, they are seeking residents to add suggestions on future construction projects.

Survey are due by Friday, Aug. 17. 


The capital improvement plan usually includes projects involving the installation, maintenance and improvement of the village’s infrastructure, a village press release said.

Infrastructure consists of streets, storm water facilities, sanitary sewers, water mains, sidewalks, traffic signals, street lighting, and village buildings.

The plan does not include ongoing maintenance projects such as pothole repair, tree trimming and snow plowing. Resident input is helpful in the long-range planning of the capital plan.
