Hundreds Stop Out for District 25 Cafeteria Food Tasting

Arlington Heights District 25 has been planning a new "nutrient-dense" menu.

Hundreds of families stopped out last week to a tasting of Arlington Heights School District 25 cafeteria food that is meant to offer healthier options this coming school year, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The "nutrient-dense" entree options included zucchini chips, poached chicken sliders, toasted chickpeas, turkey meatball soup and dish similar to nachos called the "fiesta scoop," according to the Chicago Tribune.

The tasting event was meant to draw support for the new food options, according to UPI.com.
