Identity Of Bicyclist Killed In Des Plaines Released: Medical Examiner

The 41-year-old Mount Prospect resident succumbed to injuries sustained after being struck by a truck Tuesday morning.

DES PLAINES, IL — The identity of a Mount Prospect resident killed Tuesday morning while riding his bicycle on Golf Road has been released. Allan Beyderman was pronounced dead at 6:56 a.m. Tuesday, succumbing to his injuries, at Lutheran General Hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 6:15 a.m.in the 1900 block of Golf Road. A 2017 Ford F250 truck, being driven by a 40-year-old Des Plaines resident, was traveling eastbound on Golf Road when it struck Beyderman.

Des Plaines firefighters attempted life-saving measures on the victim at the scene before he was taken to the hospital.

Police said the incident remains under investigation and are seeking the public's assistance. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is encouraged to contact police at 847-391-5400.
