Jewelry Stolen From Hotel Room: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

The incident occurred last week at Courtyard by Marriott, 100 W. Algonquin Road, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Nikko X Chajon, 25, of the 700 block of Pahl Road, Elk Grove Village, is accused of fleeing/attempting to elude a peace officer, and was arrested at 6:06 a.m. Sept. 14, in the 700 block of Pahl Road, Elk Grove Village. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 22.

VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Stacy L. Leonard, 59, of the 600 block of W. White Oak Street, Arlington Heights, is accused of violating an order of protection, domestic battery, and was arrested at 5:51 p.m. Sept. 15. A court date of Oct. 3 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

THEFT

  • A citizen reported at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 9, that his Propella 9S Pro V2 electric bike was stolen in the 500 block of S. Windsor Drive. The person taking the bike is described as a Hispanic male, 5-foot-10, wearing a black motorcycle helmet.
  • A citizen reported that between 5:10 p.m. and 5:53 p.m. Sept. 9, someone had stolen his black mountain bike at Culver's, 2060 E. Northwest Highway.
  • A resident reported that between 12:03 a.m. and 1 a.m. Sept. 10, someone had stolen her Halloween decoration — described as a metal "IT" clown wearing a yellow jacket and holding a red balloon — at Chestnut Avenue and Cypress Street.
  • A resident in the 600 block of W. Rand Road reported that between 2:17 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sept. 11, someone had stolen her package containing Ulta products.
  • A citizen called police at 7:58 a.m. Sept. 13, someone had stolen her iPhone 13 at McDonald's, 15 E. Dundee Road. The person is described as a black male, 5-foot-9, medium build, 35 years old, wearing an orange windbreaker and a black backpack.

BURGLARY

A citizen called police to report that between 7:40 a.m. and 9:40 a.m. Sept. 10, someone had entered her hotel room and stole jewelry at Courtyard by Marriott, 100 W. Algonquin Road.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

A resident in the 4200 block of N. Bloomington Avenue reported that during the overnight hours of Sept. 10, someone had stolen his black 2020 Dodge Durango.
