ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — John Hersey is one of the best public high schools in the state, according to recently released rankings. Niche.com announced its 2022 rankings of the best public high schools in the country.

John Hersey received an overall grade of A+ from Niche. A breakdown of the grades for GBN:

According to Niche, John Hersey has 1,943 students in grades 9-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 17 to 1. With regard to state test scores, 65 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 65 percent in reading.
