JP Wood Martial Arts Hosts Female Teen/Adult Self-Defense Seminar July 16

Participants can learn effective and practical self-defense techniques along with safety awareness and how to avoid dangerous situations.

Whether you are heading off to college, or simply interested in learning some no-nonsense, effective self-defense techniques, join JP Wood Martial Arts in Palatine for an upcoming seminar.

Participants are invited to learn these techniques from Master Jan Wood and GrandMaster John Wood. Topics covered will include:

  • Where, how what to hit to defend yourself in an attack.
  • How to release from common holds, and how to best defend yourself.
  • Awareness, avoidance and common-sense information while you learn to control your body’s reaction.
  • How to attack areas of the body, in addition to the use of pepper spray, information about date rape drugs, personal alarms.

A question and answer session will follow the seminar.

The seminar will be held on Thursday, July 16 from 7pm-9pm at JP Wood Martial Arts, located at 249 E. Northwest Highway in Palatine (the same mall as Hobby Lobby and Ace Hardware).
