Just Duckies Gift Shop and Party Store Comes to Arlington Heights
Just Duckies, a new gift and party store, opens in Arlington Heights.

Just Duckies is a new gift and party store located in the Terramere shopping center in Arlington Heights AT 4222 N. Arlington Heights Road.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The grand opening is set for Friday and Saturday, Aug. 16 and 17. Customers will be offered party food samples.
As its name implies, this unique gift shop sells just ducks. These are not ordinary yellow rubber ducks – Bud Ducks are collectible, affordable, bold and bubbly rubber ducks of exceptional quality and universal appeal, a press release from the store states.
From divas to punk rockers to paparazzi, customers will find literally hundreds of different rubber duck styles, all nicely packaged for gift giving.
Other merchandise includes duck-themed clothing, children’s toys, and candy items. Just Duckies will also be hosting parties in the private party room, where one entire wall is an artistically painted mural with Just Duckies bobbing down a lazy river. Party guests will be entertained with a “paint-your-own-duck” activity, among others and may choose from a variety of themed decorations and food items, the press release states.

Just Duckies was conceived by owner Dawn Deutsch while searching for a rubber duck for one of her children last year. She was surprised to find that there were no rubber ducks to be found anywhere in the northwest suburbs.
While searching online, she came across the Bud Duck product line, and knew immediately that she wanted to bring these delightful ducks into a retail environment where she could share them with the community.
Margaret Salata, general manager of Just Duckies, has brought that store concept to life: “Rubber ducks just make everyone smile. Our goal is to bring little pieces of nostalgic joy into our customers’ lives.”
