Latex Paint Collection Event Planned For Arlington Heights

The event is being run by the Environmental Health Division of the Arlington Heights Health and Human Services Department.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — If you're looking to get rid of any latex paint sitting around the house at an environmentally-friendly event, the Environmental Health Division of the Arlington Heights Health and Human Services Department is hosting an event next week.

From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, Arlington Heights residents who have made an appointment can return paint at the Public Works Building at 222 N. Ridge Ave. This event is not open to businesses. Residence will be confirmed with ID and/or Village vehicle stickers. According to organizers:

  • only latex paint will be accepted
  • No mixing of paints will be allowed
  • Paint must be in original containers
  • Up to 15 gallons will be collected at no cost
