Lint

 In the thick of laundry day

I pull the dryer tray, sweep my hand

across the mesh to gather the lint.

I ball it up and toss it

An artist who’s created portraits and

landscapes using lint and a touch of

adhesive comes to mind.

As I slide the collector screen

back into it's  place, I think...

lint is a mystery.
