Local Applebee's to Close its Doors
Applebee's announced Tuesday it will close eight of its 33 Applebee's locations in the Chicago suburbs, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The Applebee's in Palatine, 741 E. Dundee Road, is among the Applebee's locations that will close, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Applebee's announced Tuesday that the restaurant franchise was forced to close eight of its Chicago locations as it hopes to "reorganize its operations in Chapter 11 bankruptcy," according to the Chicgao Tribune. The Chicago Tribune reports Applebee's could close more restaurants.
Applebee's did filed a WARN notice with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, which is required by state law to be filled at least 60 days before before a mass lay-off or plant closing, according to the WARN website.

The WARN notice includes multiple Cook, Will, McHenry, DuPage and Lake county Applebee's locations, according to the April 2013 WARN notices.
Messages left by Patch.com at the Applebees corporate offices in Kentucky have not yet been returned, in regards to when the restaurants are expected to close their doors.
