Man Charged With Battering Nurse At Hospital: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

The incident occurred earlier this week at Northwest Community Hospital, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Cristhiam Arman Ariza-Garzon, 33, of the 1200 block of E. Algonquin Road, Schaumburg, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested at 9:49 p.m. Oct. 14, in the 2100 block of S. Tonne Road, Arlington Heights. A court date of Nov. 13 was assigned.
  • Stacy L. Leonard, 60, of the 600 block of W. White Oak Street, Arlington Heights, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested at 8:45 p.m. Oct. 15, in the 600 block of W. White Oak Street, Arlington Heights.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE

Nicole Auriemma, 37, of the 300 block of W. Miner Street, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 7:35 p.m. Oct. 13, at Evergreen and Sigwalt. She was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 6.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY TO A PEACE OFFICER

Komlan M. Hukporti, 29, of the 2100 block of S. Tonne Drive, Arlington Heights, is accused of aggravated batter to a peace officer, two counts of aggravated assault to a peace officer, and was arrested at 5:22 p.m. Oct. 15, in the 2100 block of S. Tonne Drive. Hukporti was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 20.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

  • Samar Jain, 44, of the 200 block of Boxwood Street, Bolingbrook, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of an alcoholic drink, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 7:37 p.m. Oct. 11, in the 600 block of W. Euclid Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 29.
  • Fredy Augusto Orellana-Rios, 26, of the 5600 block of N. Kimball Avenue, Chicago, is accused of DUI alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 2:16 a.m. Oct. 12, at Sigwalt and Arlington Heights Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 5.

RETAIL THEFT

Montecelo R. Lewis, 26, of the 1700 block of N. Ashland Avenue, Chicago, is accused of retail theft, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested at 10:10 a.m. Oct. 10, in the 0-10 block of N. Dunton. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 5.

DECEPTIVE PRACTICE

Evan M. Morgan, 23, of the 20 block of Kristin Place, Arlington Heights, is accused of deceptive practices, and was arrested at 1:50 p.m. Oct. 13. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 25.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY OF A NURSE

Juan C. Zuniga Vieda, 28, of the 1100 block of N. River Road, Des Plaines, is accused of two counts of aggravated battery of a nurse performing duties, and was arrested at 11:25 p.m. Oct. 13, at Northwest Community Hospital, 800 Central Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 21.

INCIDENTS

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A citizen reported that between 7 a.m. and 3:25 p.m. Oct. 6, someone had entered her Hyundai parked at Summit Rehab, 1200 N. Arlington Heights Road.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident in the 100 block of W. Pickwick Road reported that between Oct. 7 and Oct. 9, someone had entered his garage and stole a set of golf clubs.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

A resident in the 500 block of W. Palatine Road reported that during the overnight hours of Oct. 10, someone had removed the rear driver's side hubcap on his Nissan.

THEFT

A resident in the 1600 block of E. Central Road reported that between Oct. 10 and Oct. 12, someone had stolen the contents from an Amazon package in the lobby.
