Man Charged In Disorderly Conduct Case Involving Teen: AH Police

Prospect Heights man is accused of following a teen girl who was walking home from school and asking her if she needed a ride, police said.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The Arlington Heights Police Department said a Prospect Heights man has been arrested as a result of a disorderly conduct investigation stemming from an incident last month. Police said they received a complaint on Jan. 23 of an unidentified man, described as being 20 to 30 years old with dark brown hair, a manicured beard, wearing a winter skull cap and driving a tan four-door Kia Soul (license plate unknown) who reportedly approached and asked a 15-year-old girl walking home from school if she needed a ride.

According to police, the investigation developed a suspect, and 31-year-old Stephen M. Salinas, of the 0-100 block of Wildwood Drive, was identified through a photographic lineup.

Salinas was arrested Thursday on accusations of following and approaching the teen, and has been charged with one count of disorderly conduct, police reported.
