Man Charged With Hate Crime: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO LAND

Omar A. Abdelhamid, 29, of the 3500 block of Tamarind Drive, Northbrook, is accused of criminal trespass to land, battery, and was arrested at 2:10 p.m. Aug. 17, at 7-Eleven, 1418 E. Hintz Road. A court date of Sept. 5 was assigned.

BATTERY

Tiffany A. Jackson, 37, of the 2100 block of S. Tonne Drive, Arlington Heights, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 3:52 p.m. Aug. 20, in the 2100 block of S. Goebbert Road. A court date of Oct. 1 was assigned.

RETAIL THEFT

Khirsshaun K. Jones, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 4:03 p.m. Aug. 16, at the Sheboygan County Jail in Wisconsin for an incident at Kohl's, 800 W. Dundee Road, Arlington Heights. Bond was set at $100,000. A court date of Aug. 23 was assigned.

HATE CRIME

David A. Martin, 54, of the 800 block of S. Arthur Avenue, Arlington Heights, is accused of a hate crime, and was arrested at 7:53 p.m. Aug. 17, in the 20 block of S. Evergreen Avenue. A court date of Sept. 13 was assigned.

DRIVING ON A REVOKED/SUSPENDED LICENSE

Scott R. Morinec, 37, of the 4000 block of N. Newport Lane, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 12:05 p.m. Aug. 20, in the 1900 block of N. Arlington Heights Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 23.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Volodymir Volosiuk, 66, of the 600 block of Lakeside Circle Drive, Wheeling, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 10:42 p.m. Aug. 17, in the 2600 block of Pine Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 1.
