Man Flees Police And Accident, Makes False 911 Report: Blotter
A Palatine man is accused of a bevy of crimes following a late night arrest: Arlington Heights Blotter.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Nicholas P. Mazurek, 26, of the 200 block of W Johnson Street, Palatine, is accused of fleeing police, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage, false report to 911, resisting a peace officer, operating an uninsured vehicle, and was arrested at 11 p.m. Nov. 12 in the 200 block of E Sigwalt Street, Arlington Heights. He was taken to court after the arrest and assigned a court date of Dec. 8.

Federico E. Sanchez, 29, of the 1300 block of Thames Street, Roselle, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, and was arrested at 1:18 a.m. Nov. 13 at Algonquin Road and Tonne Drive. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Nov. 30.
AGGRAVATED DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS
Lisbethe Aviles, 35, of the 14000 block of Western Avenue, Blue Island, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence of drugs, driving under the influence of drugs, no driver's license, and was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Nov. 15 in the 2200 block of S Arlington Heights Road. She was taken to court and assigned a court date of Dec. 18.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL
- Hakam I. Batarseh, 48, of the 900 block of W Rand Avenue, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal possession/transport of liquor by a driver, and was arrested at 2:18 a.m. Nov. 16 in the 600 block of E Rand Road. Batarseh was bonded out and assigned a court date of Dec. 7.
- Jaculin Anne Dupree, 68, of the 400 block of E Haven Street, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 5:25 p.m. Nov. 16 at Olive Street and Arlington Heights Road. She was released on bond and assigned a court date of Dec. 7.
NO DRIVER'S LICENSE/PERMIT
- Klayna V. Lozano, 27, of the 20000 block of Elizabeth Avenue, Lincolnshire, is accused of no driver's license/permit, and was arrested at 4:51 p.m. Nov. 16 in the 2300 block of N Arlington Heights Road. Lozano was released on bond and assigned a court date of Dec. 15.
- Hamza R. Ali, 36, of the 5100 block of N East River Road, Chicago, is accused of no driver's license/permit, and was arrested at 3:42 p.m. Nov. 18 at Goebbert Road and E Seegers. Ali was released on bond and assigned a court date of Dec. 4.
AGGRAVATED DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL
Fidencio Lopez Gomez, 21, of the 700 block of Hill Drive, Hoffman Estates, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, no driver's license/permit, operating an uninsured vehicle, illegal possession/transport of liquor by driver, and was arrested 11:54 p.m. Nov. 16 in the 400 block of W Sigwalt. Gomez was taken to court and assigned a court date of Dec. 21.
INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
- A female was seen concealing merchandise before leaving the store without paying at 1:35 p.m. Nov. 15 at Valli Produce, 400 E Golf Road. The female is described as around 40 years old. She was last seen leaving the area as a passenger in a silver colored minivan with an unknown license plate. The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is approximately $150.
- A person was seen concealing merchandise before leaving the store without paying between 3:42-3:49 p.m. Nov. 14 at Walgreens, 1000 E Northwest Highway. The person is described as wearing a red, flat brimmed hat with white lettering and a blue brim, black pants, white shoes, and a light gray sweatshirt. The person was last seen leaving the area in a dark-colored sedan with an unknown license plate. The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is approximately $1,250.
- Two males were seen concealing merchandise before leaving the store without paying between 6:16-6:19 p.m. Nov. 14 at Walgreens, 235 E Palatine Road. The males were last seen running away from the scene. The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is under investigation at this time.
THEFT
- Someone took a person's wallet after the wallet had been left unattended following an outpatient surgery between 10:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Northwest Community Hospital, 800 W Central Road. The wallet contained various credit and identification cards.
- Someone unlawfully opened and took items from a package delivered to the mailbox of a resident between 4:30-5 p.m. Nov. 17 in the 1500 block of N Kaspar Avenue. The approximate value of the items stolen from the package is $65.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
A resident in the 1500 block of N Vail Avenue reported at 9:50 a.m. Nov. 16 that someone entered their unlocked vehicle while it was parked overnight in the driveway. Various credit and identification cards were taken from the vehicle.
