Man Sexually Abuses Girl Enticed Into Car With Cash: Palatine PD
The Arlington Heights resident is facing four felony charges from two separate incidents involving students walking to school.

PALATINE, IL — An Arlington Heights man is facing felony charges of child abduction and sexual abuse following two separate incidents involving high school-aged girls walking to school. James King, 31, of the 200 block of W. Happfield Road, was arrested Tuesday following an investigation into the incidents on Oct. 31 and Nov. 6.
King is due in court Thursday for a detention hearing, according to the Palatine Police Department.
Police said King allegedly approached two different high school-aged girls who were walking to school on Oct. 31 and Nov. 6. In each incident, police said King was driving a black Lexus SUV and pulled up to the juveniles, who were walking by themselves. He enticed each with cash as he attempted to talk them into getting into his vehicle.

In the Oct. 31 incident, police said one juvenile did get into his car, where she was sexually abused before being dropped off at school.
Police arrested King at 6 a.m. Tuesday, and he was subsequently charged with two counts of felony child abduction and one count of felony aggravated sexual abuse.

Palatine police are asking anyone who may have had contact with King or experienced a similar incident, to call 911 and report it to police.
