Man Stabbed, Punched By Unknown Trio: Arlington Heights PD Blotter
One subject punched the victim in the back of the head, and another stabbed him with a knife in the torso and arm, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS
VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Tamie Marie Coleman, 21, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 4:23 p.m. April 13, at Red Roof Inn, 22 W. Algonquin Road.

- Daniel R. Flynn, 41, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 6:16 p.m. April 8, at W. Algonquin Road and S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of May 16 was assigned.
- Brandon Gutzmer, 28, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 2:29 a.m. April 8 at S. New Wilke and Algonquin roads. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of May 18 was assigned.
- Rhomey S. Hayes, 25, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 4:33 a.m. April 9, in the 1600 block of W. Rand Road. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of May 1 was assigned.
BATTERY
Robert A. Hoeltzer, 58, is accused of two counts of battery, resisting or obstructing a peace officer, and was arrested at 7:56 p.m. April 7, at Mugs Pizza and Ribs, 1300 block of E. Rand Road. A court date of May 18 was assigned.
A resident in the 1200 block of W. Kelly Street reported that between 12:10 p.m. and 8:35 p.m. April 4, someone entered his residence and stole personal items.
AGGRAVATED BATTERY
A citizen reported at 10:25 p.m. April 4, while he was walking in the 2100 block of S. Arlington Heights Road, three men approached him. One subject punched the victim in the back of the head, and another stabbed him with a knife in the torso and arm. All three men were wearing black-hooded sweatshirts and black pants. One of the men had a "Cross" tattoo on his cheek. The subjects fled north bound on foot.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON/VEHICLE
A citizen reported at 3:20 a.m. April 5, three unknown people dressed all in black attempted to steal a catalytic converter off a white Toyota in a condominium parking lot in the 1500 block of E. Central Road. The subjects saw someone videotaping them and subsequently left in a black SUV.
THEFT
A resident in the 300 block of N. Derbyshire Avenue called police to report that between 11 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. April 5, someone stole a package off his front porch with the contents valued at $100.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS/ACCESSORIES
A resident in the 2100 block of S. Tonne Drive called police to report that during the overnight hours of April 5, someone stole the catalytic converter off her 2014 Toyota. The cost to replace the catalytic converter is approximately $2,000.
VANDALISM
An employee of a business in the 20 block of S. Vail Avenue reported he found graffiti on the top floor of a parking garage. Located on the east wall was black lettering (ONWRD) and a crown. There were also inappropriate pictures drawn in purple. Located on the north wall was yellow lettering.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
A resident in the 400 block of Circle Hill Drive reported that between 2 a.m. and noon April 8, someone slashed the two driver side tires on his 2023 Chrysler. The cost to replace the tires is approximately $600.
AGGRAVATED ROBBERY
A mail carrier reported at 3:05 p.m. April 8, that while standing at his postal truck in the 1300 block of W. Campbell Street, someone approached him and demanded his master key. The subject had one hand inside his pocket, which led the mail carrier to believe he had a weapon. The mail carrier yelled for help, at which time the subject entered a dark-colored Kia and left the area. The subject is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, approximately 6 feet tall, thin build, wearing black pants, blue sweatshirt and a ski mask.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
A resident in the 3100 block of N. Volz Drive reported that during the overnight hours of April 8, someone entered her 2015 Ford and stole her backpack, which contained personal items.
