More Racist Graffiti Discovered On Mount Prospect Bridges: Police

Police have found graffiti on four different bridges this week.

MOUNT PROSPECT, IL — After discovering graffiti containing racial slurs on the George Street Bridge earlier this week, police announced Wednesday night that they have found additional graffiti on three other bridges. One of the bridges contained racial slurs similar to the bridge at George Street.

While conducting a check of other bridges that cross over Weller Creek, police found graffiti on the structure beneath the Emerson Street Bridge, Elmhurst Road Bridge and See Gwun Avenue Bridge. Police said it is unknown at this time whether the additional bridges were vandalized during the same time frame as George Street Bridge. The hate graffiti was removed immediately by Village staff.
