New Leadership Installed at 66th Annual Arlington Heights Chamber Event

The Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce held its 66th annual Installation Dinner Thursday, January 24, where a number of businesses and individuals were recognized for their achievements over the last year. 

The program at the event, held at European Crystal Banquiets, included outgoing President Cliff Higley, who spoke of the teamwork and dedication necessary to keep the chamber running strong year after year. 

Cindee Manaves, business volunteer of the year, made a heartfelt speech about a friend, who before she passed away, reminded Manaves of how important it is to serve others. 

"I guess this is just the beginning," Manaves said. 

The incoming president for the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce, Dianna Ehrenfried, spoke and fished out the four-hour evening.

She promised a new chamber website within the month, and among other goals, collaboration with previous presidents to utilize their knowledge and historical perspective to grow the chamber in the future. 

Three businesses, and two individuals were recognized in five different categories:

• Business Leader of the Year: Jim Peterson Sr., Jason Miller and Colin Bilbert.
• Emerging Business of the Year: In Town Electric, Agio Italian Bistro and Tropical Smoothie Cafe. 
• Business Volunteer of the Year: Jay Beaton, Maureen Willenborg and Dr. Amanda Karm & Dr. John Cress. 
• Non-Profit of the Year: St. Mary's Services, Special Leisure Services Foundation, and Escorted Transportation Services.
