Northwest Community Hospital Earns B Grade for Safety From Watchdog Group
The rating is a drop from from its previous grade from the national organization.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Northwest Community Hospital received a B for safety from an independent nonprofit watchdog group. The rating, which was released by the organization Monday, is a letter-grade drop from the previous marking period.
The Leapfrog Group, in cooperation with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, graded more than 2,500 hospitals across the United States, evaluating them on 30 different safety criteria. Of the facilities graded, 72 U.S. hospitals received straight A's.
During the group's spring 2016 grading period, Northwest Community received an A. Historically, the hospital has earned a B grade from the group. Besides spring 2016, the only other A grade the facility received was in the spring of 2013.
