Obituary: Kay S. Svoboda Of Arlington Heights

Kay S. Svoboda was born on October 28, 1936 in Littlefork, MN to Dean and Hulda (nee Jonsen) Parmeter. She died Thursday, March 14, 2013 in  Arlington Heights, IL.

Kay worked as a Flight Attendant for United Airlines as commercial flight moved from propeller planes to jets.  She enjoyed sailing, skiing, and was a voracious reader. She loved to spend time with her family, and she was deeply dedicated to her grandchildren.  Kay was loved by all.                                                 

Kay is survived by her spouse, of 52 years, Joe; children, Jeffrey  J. Svoboda, Thomas D. (Sarah) Svoboda, and Gregory J. (Amy) Svoboda; grandchildren,  Ali Svoboda, Kevin Svoboda, Kyle Svoboda, Madison Svoboda, Sam Svoboda, Charlie Svoboda,  Kate Svoboda, John Svoboda, and Elizabeth Svoboda; brother, David Parmeter and Don Parmeter.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shirley.
 
A Memorial Gathering will be held Monday, March 18 from 5 p.m. until the time of the 7 p.m. at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road)  Arlington Heights, IL  60004.
