Obituary: Walter Warren Hamm of Arlington Heights
Visitation will be held Wednesday and a memorial service on Thursday.

Walter Warren Hamm was born on July 6, 1951 in Chicago to Marvin and Lorraine (nee Krause) Hamm. He died Thursday, January 24, 2013 in Arlington Heights.
Walter is survived by his children, Cynthia C. Hamm, Matthew W. Hamm and Betsy (Jacob) Braun-Anderson; granddaughters - Tatiana and Alexandria Djokic; sisters, Linda (Bob) Potter, Gwen (Ed) Schledewitz, and Myrna Scholle; and brother, Gregory Hamm.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Hamm, whom he married on February 14, 1976; his parents: and sister-in-law Diane Hamm.

Walter worked as a Letter Carrier for the Mount Prospect Post Office, for 36 years, before retiring in 2006. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mount Prospect. Walter loved to spend time with his family and was loved by all.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 30 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, (4 Blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. A memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, January, 31 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 S. Willie Street, Mount Prospect, IL for Mass at 4:00 pm. Interment will be private.
