Patricia's three year battle with cancer was full of pain and indignities. Her quiet, graceful courage inspired us. Her ability to say, "I'm fine, don't worry" was said to comfort her children. She never missed an opportunity to smile at us, despite the insidious ravages heaped upon her. Patricia's life goal, like most Moms, was to make sure that her kids were safe and happy. She gets an A+ in this department.
Patricia's children played a part in making Patricia feel loved and adored. Beth's abilities in handling medical matters, and selfless devotion to Mom's every need, were immeasurable. Tom's faithful three year commitment to never miss getting Patricia to treatments and doctor's visits played a huge role in our journey. Vickie's delicious treats and her creative loving crafts were always present to inspire, delight and nourish. Michael did what he does best, by keeping himself well fed. He was always available to make a pizza run for the rest of the crew.

Nurses' kindness, doctors' efforts, neighbors' concerns, eased our family. The phrase, "It takes a village" pertains to our past three years.
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is a little voice at the end of day that says, " I'll try again tomorrow". Mary Anne Radamacher
